Week #29 - Fontana (Sierra Ward), San Bernardino, CA, Mission

Hey everyone!

Well this week has been most eventful. Sadly, my companion has been sick so we haven't been able to get out of the house a lot. Despite our challenges, however,  we have embraced talking to everyone and this week we talked to the most we've ever been able to do in this area. During New Years Eve we went out showing a video about New Years that the church made a few years back. It was quite effective and with one person we showed it to he almost cried.

Besides showing a video, we've also been practicing sharing the message of the restoration quickly and powerfully. It has helped me be a lot more comfortable with speaking to everyone we meet. I highly recommend it to all missionaries.

Not much else has been going on. One of the people on date to be baptized didn't come to church so we were kind of sad. However, he still has a great desire to be baptized and so we will continue to work with him. He's close though.

Happy New Years everyone!

Elder Green

1. Playing a game. It was very interesting because we could not see the board and had to use our hands to move the pieces and see where things were on the board. The sunglasses you see us wearing are actually blinders to help us keep our eyes off the board.
2 & 3 While Elder Angle was resting we put together some Books of Mormon that are marked to answer the questions of the soul such as "where do I go after this life?"
